Fall Fashion's Secret Weapon
Fall's dropping temperature won't create a rise in low-riders or a drop in belly shirts. They're still the rage. I got a recent email from a weblog friend who asked where she might possibly find a trendy shirt that will pass our "Raise and Praise" test. (See Truth or Bare Modesty Fashion Tests.) Never fear, you can get the look of low riders and trendy shirts without compromise. You just need one of our Secret Keeper Secret Weapons... a ribbed tank top. Of course, you'll most likely need to purchase the tank top in the men's department because the key is that it needs to be long enough to tuck into your low riders. This way you can layer a trendy, shorter shirt on top of it and you've got a great trendy look enhanced by layers no less! You're going to love it
For the basic white ribbed tank that'll go with anything, they're available at most department stores.
For colored tanks you'll have to look a little harder. Remember when you're buying men's tanks to buy smaller sizes. It won't matter if these are a bit snug as they're meant to be under another looser shirt.
You may on occassion find a great woman's tank that'll work but be certain they're long enough to tuck in. I think these will work nicely. These are made by DKNY!
